Warrior’s House is an institution that provides social, psychological, and legal services to servicemen, veterans, and their families. Its mission is to ensure social support and adaptation for military personnel and their families. The services offered by Warrior’s House include psychological and physical rehabilitation, legal consultations, leisure activities, assistance with employment and the development of veteran-owned businesses, as well as support in obtaining benefits and social guarantees. Warrior’s House is a welcoming space for Veterans, Defenders, and their loved ones.

Mykola Kroshnyi, Head of the municipal institution Warrior’s House, introduced the master’s students of Kherson State University to how the institution builds a strong veteran community and creates a space where every serviceman and family member can receive quality assistance and new opportunities. Among these are: the Family Assistant Service for defenders’ families; training sessions Healed by Love for the spouses of Ukraine’s Defenders; various workshops for children of Defenders, wives, and mothers of Fallen Heroes (such as decorating Christmas gingerbread, creating holiday cards, decorating candle holders, making interior mini-panels with wheat ears, Flowers in Autumn, etc.); traditional Andriyivski Vechornytsi gatherings; festive children’s events for St. Nicholas Day for children of fallen and missing Defenders of Ukraine; dynamic and engaging airsoft games for veterans and servicemen; watercolor portrait workshops for children of servicemen, veterans, and Fallen Heroes; organization and support of self-help groups for mothers of Fallen Warrior-Heroes; trainings Where to Find Strength in Difficult Times?; Joy Among Friends: a special birthday celebration for children of Heroes, when Warrior’s House continues its vital mission of support, creating moments of light and ordinary childhood; an English language project for veterans, and many other events and initiatives. Each meeting at Warrior’s House is a reminder: we are not alone—there are those nearby who understand, support, and help us rediscover ourselves.

Liubomyr Kazymyrovych Kashuba, specialist in supporting war veterans and demobilized persons, and a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, spoke about the daily work of Warrior’s House, aimed at supporting veterans and their families, assisting in difficult life situations, providing psychological help, social services, and important initiatives implemented by the institution’s specialists for the community.

Additionally, master’s students of the Social Work specialty were presented with current municipal programs for veterans, which provide professional support, opportunities for development, education, and integration into civilian life.
