Friday, January 30, 2026

At a meeting of the Rectorate of Kherson State University, candidates for the training program and the list of pilot e-courses to be developed within “The Digital University – Open Ukrainian Initiative” (DigiUni) project were approved.

The Rectorate supported the following decisions:

-         Approval of KSU candidates for participation in the training program for DigiPlatform content preparation. The training for trainers and content developers will involve 10 participants, including: 6 academic staff members developing online courses who will subsequently train colleagues in faculties; 1 person responsible for technical registration of participants; and 2 people responsible for content quality assurance.

-         Work Package Coordinators – Vitalii Kobets and Tetiana Cherkashyna.

-         Pilot courses to be developed within the DigiUni project with participation of the KSU team as a result of the DigiPlatform content training program (12 courses).

During the meeting, it was noted that from 1 February 2026, the Erasmus+ DigiUni international consortium will enter a large-scale phase of academic staff preparation. The project moves into the intensive trainer training phase, where trainers will coordinate the creation of innovative educational content for the DigiPlatform. The ultimate goal is to form a strong community of over 600 certified participants from Ukrainian partner universities who will train colleagues, create, manage, and assess the quality of courses on the DigiPlatform in accordance with European standards.

The Erasmus+ DigiUni project aims to support higher education in Ukraine during martial law and in the post-war recovery. It is the largest project under the Erasmus+ program ever implemented in Ukraine. It brings together participants from Ukraine and EU member states, with 21 institutions as full partners and 5 institutions as associated partners. The project started on December 1, 2023, and is scheduled to last for four years. It is coordinated by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
