KSU and DataArt Open a New Chapter of History in Ivano-Frankivsk

On February 13, a landmark meeting took place between students and faculty of the KSU Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics, Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, and representatives of the global IT company DataArt.

The highlight of the event was the announcement that the renewed DataArt location — Kherson/Ivano-Frankivsk — will continue its operations right next to Kherson State University (KSU) in Ivano-Frankivsk.

A Legacy of Innovation

The partnership began 19 years ago when DataArt’s first production office in Ukraine opened at KSU in Kherson. Since then:

  • Over 300 KSU students and alumni have joined the DataArt team.

  • In 2021, the company invested approximately $800,000 in a state-of-the-art office in Kherson, located right by the university.

  • Today, DataArt is a global player with a $427 million turnover (as of 2025) and a team of 5,000 specialists, half of whom are Ukrainians.

"An office is not just about geography. An office is about people! We are reuniting spatially, and this is truly a historic moment. The presence of Kherson residents in the Prykarpattia region is growing stronger," noted KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi.

Resilience and Shared Identity

While the university’s infrastructure and the Kherson office currently suffer from the actions of the occupiers, the shared identity remains unbreakable. A virtual tour of the new Ivano-Frankivsk office and warm reflections on their journey together emphasized a powerful message: Kherson is not just a point on a map, but a community that cannot be destroyed.
