Representatives of the Faculty of Pedagogy at Kherson State University held an international online event, “Education Without Borders: How to Obtain a Ukrainian Education from Anywhere in the World,” which brought together prospective students from different countries and served as a platform for discussing admission requirements, study formats, and opportunities for international education.
At Kherson State University, an international online career guidance event titled “Education Without Borders: How to Obtain a Ukrainian Education from Anywhere in the World” was held, organized by the Faculty of Pedagogy in cooperation with the Ukrainian Educational Hub in Chicago. The event brought together prospective students, parents, and anyone interested in pursuing Ukrainian higher education, regardless of their country of residence.
During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to learn about the educational programs of the Faculty of Pedagogy, the specifics of the admission campaign, study formats, opportunities for academic mobility and international collaboration, as well as career prospects after graduation.
Participants joined from 10 countries, including Ukraine, Poland, Switzerland, Montenegro, Germany, Portugal, Slovakia, Romania, the USA, and Japan.
The event was opened by Liubov Petukhova, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy, who emphasized the importance of obtaining high-quality, evidence-based Ukrainian education and the opportunities KSU offers to youth abroad. Yurii Yurchuk, a representative of the university’s admissions office, spoke about the university and the support available to applicants during the admission process. Anastasiia Volianiuk, lecturer at the Faculty of Pedagogy, provided detailed information about the faculty’s educational programs, individual learning pathways, opportunities for academic mobility and international collaboration, as well as career paths after graduation.
A highlight of the meeting was the Q&A session. Participants asked about admission requirements, the possibility of using previous years’ National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) results or applying under preferential conditions, the procedure for applicants educated abroad, as well as questions regarding state-funded places, tuition fees, admission scores, the safety of the educational process, and opportunities for international internships. Many questions concerned study formats for students abroad, the features of distance learning, the possibility of studying multiple majors simultaneously, and international recognition of Ukrainian degrees.
The event became an important communication platform for prospective students currently residing in different countries but aspiring to obtain a Ukrainian education. Organizers emphasized the importance of maintaining educational connections with Ukrainian youth abroad and expanding access to high-quality higher education.
We sincerely thank the Ukrainian Educational Hub in Chicago, the NGO “Association of Innovative and Digital Education”, and Viktoriia Serhiichuk personally for their organizational and informational support of the event.
