Students of the Faculty of Business and Law of Kherson State University participated in the online webinar “The Tradition of Using the Hryvnia in the Monetary Circulation of Ukraine,” delivered by Oksana Sokhan, a leading specialist at the Money Museum of the National Bank of Ukraine.
During the meeting, participants learned about the origins of the hryvnia as a unit of account and weight, the features of monetary circulation in Kyivan Rus, historical events related to the minting of the first coins of Rus, as well as the emergence and use of silver hryvnia ingots.
The event took place online (ZOOM) and provided an engaging opportunity for students to gain deeper insight into the history of the national currency and the development of Ukraine’s monetary system.
