On 19 March, a meeting took place between lecturers and students from the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology, Journalism and Arts and representatives of the ‘Young Journalist’ Club of the Kherson City Student Parliament.
The event was held to mark Poetry Day and as part of the Year of the Dnipro Seagull in the Kherson region. Representatives from the faculty included lecturers Ivan Nemchenko, Andrii Solomakhin and Vasyl Zagorodniuk, and students Olga Gosha, Daria Vorona and Inna Yurchenko.
During the discussion on the work of different generations of Ukrainian writers, significant attention was paid to career guidance. Young journalists from the Kherson region were introduced to the specialisations they can pursue whilst studying at our faculty, as well as the opportunities for developing their creative abilities at Kherson State University.
The event featured a variety of activities: quizzes, flash mobs, interviews, competitions, presentations, videos and more. It brought together not only different literary generations, but also different generations within the fields of journalism and philology.
