The first day of the teaching workshop began with warm words for the guest of honour: Maria Ivanivna Pentilyuk is celebrating her 90th birthday!
Representatives of the academic school, students and colleagues from various cities across Ukraine gathered for the fifth time in a truly family-like atmosphere to congratulate, share memories and express their gratitude to Maria Ivanivna.
The First Vice-Rector of Kherson State University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor, presented little-known facts from Maria Pentilyuk’s biography, which are closely linked to both Kherson and our university.
Vasyl Shulyar, Director of the Institute of Applied Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and Professor, shared his reflections on the life’s work of Professor Maria Pentilyuk.
Candidates of Philological Sciences, Associate Professors Ivan Nemchenko and Vasyl Zagorodniuk dedicated poems to the honouree – both their own and those by members of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine and the Ivan Franko Society of Writers and Journalists.
And tomorrow is the second day, so we invite everyone to join us at 11:00 to discuss current issues in language teaching.
