How to Augment Human Intelligence with AI in IT Specialties at KSU

On Monday, April 13, 2026, students of the Kherson Academic Lyceum attended a landmark meeting with Vitaliy Kobets, an alumnus of the Lyceum and currently a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering of Kherson State University. The lecture topic — "Augmenting Human Intelligence with AI within Ethical Boundaries" — sparked significant interest among prospective applicants planning to pursue careers in Information Technology.

Artificial Intelligence: The "New Electricity" of the Modern Era. During the event, it was emphasized that AI has evolved from a mere trend into a powerful tool that increases decision-making quality by 40% and accelerates routine task execution by 25%. Vitaliy Kobets highlighted that KSU today is a Digital University operating synchronously in Ivano-Frankivsk and asynchronously in Kherson, providing access to high-quality education from anywhere in the world.

Four Vectors of Power for Future IT Professionals at KSU
Students of IT specialties at the university master four key areas of AI application:

Text and Code: Generating boilerplate code and technical copywriting.

Visuals: Synthesis of images, video content, and 3D modeling for game design.

Data and Analytics: Identifying hidden patterns in user behavior.

Automation: Developing autonomous agents capable of executing complex sequences of actions.

Ethics and Responsibility: Human-Centric Systems. Particular attention was paid to ethical issues. KSU was among the first universities in Ukraine to implement an Official AI Use Policy back in 2022. This policy clearly distinguishes between algorithmic assistance and a student's own intellectual achievements. "We cannot ban the future — we must lead it," the lecturer noted. The university teaches students to critically verify AI outputs using the "Council of AI Services" strategy and "Chain of Thought" (CoT) prompting techniques to mitigate algorithmic hallucinations and errors.

Advantages of Studying at KSU
The Lyceum students learned about the university's robust infrastructure:

Internal Service Ecosystem: Including the KSU24 and KSUonline platforms, and a corporate subscription to Gemini, ensuring secure data processing without personal information leaks.

Computing Power: Access to high-performance server capacities (provided by Austrian partners) for Big Data processing.

Vibe Coding: The opportunity to practice "Vibe Coding" — designing application architecture using natural language, allowing developers to focus on product logic rather than syntax.

The meeting concluded with an invitation to choose the path of "architects of the future." KSU looks forward to welcoming ambitious students ready to achieve Strong Junior proficiency upon completing their Bachelor’s degree, combining technical hard skills with advanced emotional intelligence and critical thinking.
