Monday, April 27, 2026

On April 23, the Ivano-Frankivsk office of Kherson State University was visited by Dr. Michael Hall, representative of the External Relations Department of Munster Technological University (Ireland) and coordinator of the INGENIUM European Universities Alliance partnership.

During the meeting with KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskiy, Michael Hall discussed possible areas of cooperation, including digitalization, international mobility and joint scientific and cultural projects.

“These are areas in which our university has expertise and is ready to share experience gained under crisis and marginal conditions.

Mr. Hall has significant experience in developing international partnerships, including cooperation with Ukrainian universities and regions.

For us, such contacts are not only about new partnerships. They are about integration into the European educational space, new opportunities for students and staff and strengthening the institutional capacity of the university,” noted Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.

The guest was presented with the institutional publication “The Black Swan in the History of Kherson State University, or Chronicles of a Relocated University”, which documents the events of the first year of the full-scale invasion through the lens of KSU’s activities. He also received the collection “Kherson Essays: Living to Win”, which includes personal reflections on the war, occupation and relocation from members of the university community, as well as a photo album showing the destruction of the university’s infrastructure in Kherson caused by shelling.

The guest was also given a tour of the KSU office in Ivano-Frankivsk.

“We are grateful for the warm feedback and wishes to our community that Mr. Michael left in the KSU Book of Honorary Guests,” said Oleksandr Spivakovskiy.
