The theme of this year’s Forum was: “Between Rules and Reality: Flexibility Without Losing Quality.”

The purpose of the Forum was to create a professional platform for discussing strategic, regulatory, and practical solutions that enable universities to ensure the quality of education, scientific productivity, and sustainable development under conditions of war, regulatory complexity, limited resources, technological transformations, and unequal starting conditions for institutions across different regions of Ukraine.

During the opening session, the participants were addressed with welcoming remarks and wishes for productive work by:

  • Yuliia HRYSHYNA, Chair of the Subcommittee on Higher Education of the Committee on Education, Science and Innovation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

  • Mykola TROFYMENKO, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine

  • Svitlana KRETOVYCH, Head of the Department of Education and Science of the Main Directorate for Internal and Humanitarian Policy of the Directorate for Internal and Humanitarian Policy of the Office of the President of Ukraine

  • Olena KOLESNIKOVA, Chair of the Sectoral Council for the Development of Professional Standards and Qualification Development Strategy of the Federation of Metallurgists of Ukraine

During the Forum, participants had the opportunity to join discussions on pressing issues at several panel sessions: “Educational Activities: Quality, Flexibility, and a New Model of University Education”; “Scientific Activity of the University in New Realities: Productivity, Innovation, Transfer, and Resilience”; and the youth section “Students as Co‑Creators of the University: Where Rules End and Opportunities Begin.”

The “Educational Leadership Days” Forum is a space for an honest professional conversation about how Ukrainian universities can preserve quality, trust, and academic responsibility while maintaining the pace of change, innovation, and the ability to develop under conditions of war, regulatory complexity, and global transformation of education and science.

Following the results of the Forum, Tetiana M. Shvets received a participant certificate (0.5 ECTS credits).
