Summer School within the framework of the Erasmus+ BURN project will be held in June at KSU

Summer School-Training "Principles of a Trauma-Informed Approach for Community Mental Well-Being".

Format: online.
Dates: June 15–26, 2026.
Class time: Monday–Friday, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Program length: 40 hours.

Organizer: Center for Psychological Resilience and Well-Being, KhSU
Program structure:
• Module 1. Understanding trauma;
• Module 2. Principles of trauma-informed practice;
• Module 3. Trauma-informed practice in action;
• Module 4. Vicarious trauma and staff well-being.

The Summer School program includes:
• development of algorithms for providing primary psychosocial care;
• emotional well-being and resilience development;
• distress tolerance development groups;
• mindfulness workshops;
• mindfulness-based art therapy;
• interventions to help people who have been forced to leave their homes due to war;
• developing strategies to ensure safety, support psychological resilience and work with multiple losses after traumatic experiences.

The Summer School is conducted by psychologists from the BURN project. Participants of the Summer School will receive certificates.
