On February, 1 a period of training practice began for second-year students of the first (bachelor's) level of higher full-time education, the main purpose of which is to consolidate the acquired knowledge in professional disciplines in practice. Accordingly, for each specialty on the basis of the cross-curricula program, a certain amount of tasks was set with a number of measures designed to immerse future professionals in the specifics of their future profession.

“Training practice is one of the initial stages of becoming a future specialist, which contributes to the formation of knowledge, skills, abilities provided by the educational and professional program of the specialty. Our students gain unique experience of communication in the editorial office, learn to work with factual material, filming equipment, special software, improve skills in working with various journalistic genres. The set of tasks allows the applicants to outline the image of their future profession, to take the first steps as journalists"- said Andriy Solomakhin, guarantor of the educational program for specialty 061 Journalism.

Therefore, for two weeks the applicants of the educational and professional program "Journalism" will cooperate with the Press Center of KSU and radio "Social UA". Sophomores have already chosen topics and information drives for work.

Oksana Kazakova, Head of the Press Center of KSU, says: “The university's strategy is to pass a student internship on the basis of our educational institution in order to be useful to the university and acquire new professional skills. Therefore, today we are glad to welcome future journalists at the Press Center of Kherson State University! I hope it will be interesting and we will be very happy to see one of the interns already in our team! ”

The internship will end with the defense of student reports, traditionally, applicants will present their achievements and share their impressions of new interesting experiences.
