Digital Transformation of Education: Savchenko S.O. Held an Event Dedicated to the Use of NotebookLM in the Educational Process

On October 30, 2025, an extremely useful and relevant event dedicated to the integration of modern digital tools into the educational process took place. Serhii Oleksandrovych Savchenko, a lecturer at the Department of Algebra, Geometry and Mathematical Analysis, conducted an event on the topic "Digital Transformation of Courses with NotebookLM".
Savchenko S.O. demonstrated the capabilities of the NotebookLM tool for qualitative improvement of educational activities:

Syllabus Development: It was demonstrated in detail how NotebookLM can be used to optimize the process of developing syllabi for educational disciplines. The use of specific sources added independently by the user ensures high relevance and accuracy of the resulting material.

Content Creation: Meeting participants saw how audio podcasts and video presentations can be created quickly and effectively based on the added sources, significantly expanding the formats for delivering educational material.

The Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics Invites Participation in the Annual National Media Literacy Test
The test will be held for the fourth time, initiated by the National Media Literacy Project "Filter" of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications.
The test will help Ukrainians check their resilience to fakes and manipulations and experience how media literacy serves as the best protection against information chaos.
The test's five thematic blocks cover a total of 25 questions. The topics are:

Media: Reliability and Impact of Information

Artificial Intelligence

Social Networks
-
Online Safety and Countering Fraud
The test will be available from October 29 at 09:30 on the website: https://filter.mcsc.gov.ua/test2025/. Access to the test will be open for 3 days until October 31 at 23:59.

Professor Kuzmych Valerii Conducted a Lecture for Natural Science Teachers of Kherson Oblast
On October 8, 2025, Valerii Ivanovych Kuzmych, Professor of the Department of Algebra, Geometry and Mathematical Analysis, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, delivered a lecture to natural science teachers of the Kherson Oblast on the topic: "Methodological Foundations for the Integration of Mathematics Teaching with Natural Sciences." The lecture was attended by about a hundred teachers from the region, as well as students from the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics of Kherson State University.

Meeting of PhD Candidates of the National University "Odesa Law Academy" with Vitalii Kobets, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering
On October 16, 2025, a meeting was held at the National University "Odesa Law Academy" between the third (PhD/Doctor of Science) level educational and research program students of "Management" and Vitalii Kobets, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Kherson State University.
The topic of the meeting – "Application and Potential Dangers of AI in the Data-Driven Decision-Making Process for Managers" – interested the future researchers, as the issue of artificial intelligence integration into management practice is one of the most promising areas of contemporary research.

Astrophysical Paradox Problems: An Open Lecture by Professor S.Kuzmenkov
An Open Lecture titled "Astrophysical Paradox Problems" took place on October 10, 2025, at the Faculty of Computer Science, Physics, and Mathematics. The event, held as an online meeting, brought together lecturers and students from Kherson State University (KSU), as well as pupils and educators, particularly from the Kherson Scientific Lyceum.
