The Center for Psychological Stability and Well-Being of Kherson State University launched the first module of the Erasmus+ BURN Summer School dedicated to the development of professional competencies in the field of mental health support and the implementation of trauma-oriented practices.

On June 5, the campaign for qualifying exams and defense of works at the bachelor's degree program "Psychology" began. These are unique groups in the Faculty of History, Psychology and Sociology that have completed their studies almost entirely online.

The Student Psychological Club is a safe, warm and evaluation-free space created for psycho-emotional recovery, deep self-reflection and strengthening of mental immunity. The club started its work on October 9, 2025, continues to be active until today (May 2026) and operates at the Center for Psychological Stability and Well-Being of Kherson State University as part of the BURN (Erasmus+) project - an initiative that supports the university community in conditions of relocation, online education and everyday challenges of wartime.

The training "Techniques of stabilization of the psycho-emotional state", which was conducted by candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor Bilous R. and psychology students: Pavlyuchek D., Slobodianyk M., Gladkikh T., Pyrgas Y., Loban N., Shkoda V., The main result of the event was the schoolchildren's mastery of practical tools: the children not only learned to recognize signs of stress, but also practiced exercises for quick calming down, which will be able to use it independently in difficult situations.

On April 23, 2026, Tyor Larisa Viktorivna (candidate of psychological sciences, assistant professor of the Department of Psychology) took part in the round table on the occasion of Psychologist's Day "Psychologist in the world of changes: challenges, resources, responsibility". During the meeting, the key competencies of a modern psychologist and its compliance with the demands of practice were discussed.

On April 16, 2026, before the All-Ukrainian Day of the Psychologist, the Department of Psychology held a training session "Techniques for Stabilizing the Psycho-Emotional State" for all those interested, with the participation of Assoc. On April 14, as part of the Erasmus+ BURN international project ("Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-)War Ukrainian Nation"), the Center for Psychological Resilience and Well-being of Kherson State University started the second wave of training for participants in the educational process on the topic "Trauma-informed education (TIO)".

On April 13, 2026, an open lecture-master class was held for students of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education of the OP "Psychology": "From theory to practice: how the image helps to work with the inner world of the client, diagnosis and therapy", dedicated to the possibilities of learning using the psychotherapeutic method of symbol drama (catathym-imaginative psychotherapy). Lecturers: Fregan Alla Volodymyrivna (head of the Transcarpathian branch of the IRSHP); Larisa Pavlivna Shumakova (head of the Kherson branch of the IRSHP), psychotherapists using the method of catative-imaginative psychotherapy (symbol drama), teachers of the Institute for the Development of Symbol Drama and Deep Psychology (IRSHP), the International Society of Catative-Imaginative Psychotherapy (MTKIP).

On March 3, as part of the international project BURN (Erasmus +), the first wave of the 16-hour "Sensitivity Training for university employees who work with students affected by the war" began at the university.

On February 26-27, 2026, a two-day webinar "Psychological stability and well-being of the university community" was held, organized by the Centers of the BURN project with the financial support of the European Union and with the active participation of our partner Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University.

The week of face-to-face training from February 16 to 20 fell for the future masters at the stage of industrial practice, where the plan of the psycho-corrective program is developed, its purpose and tasks are determined, and exercises, games and techniques are selected for each class. Considering the wide geographical location of the winners (literally - on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean), the format of the trial and qualifying events was flexible and creative.

On February 20, 2026, the Department of Psychology held an open guest lecture for applicants, colleagues and all interested parties. The lecture on the topic "Resources of art therapy accompanied by families raising children with autism" was conducted by Taran Oksana Petrivna, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Special and Inclusive Education of Boris Grinchenko Kyiv Capital University.

On February 11, 2026, the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs hosted the regional scientific discussion platform "Women in Science during the War". Scientists, educators, representatives of the government, the security sector and the public sector discussed the challenges and prospects for the development of women's scientific potential during the war and in the post-war period.

From January 26 to 30, another school of professional development, which included trainings, lectures and workshops, was held at KhSU. Members of the Department of Psychology successfully completed training and received certificates from the course "University Teacher: Branding, Digital Adaptation and Internal Communication in the Context of Social Transformations." A total of 14 activities took place, the speakers of which were both representatives of KSU and invited speakers.

During December 15-19, a week of face-to-face training took place on the basis of the KhSU office in Ivano-Frankivsk, and the defense of qualification papers was held by applicants of the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty "Psychology".

From March 10 to March 14, a training visit within the project of the Erasmus+ Burn-“Boosting University Psychological Resiliens and Wellbeing in (Post-) War UKRAINIAN NATION (“ Increasing psychological stability and well-being universities (after- ” Tartu, Tallinn, Estonia).

On March 12, a meeting for entrants took place at the Faculty of Psychology, History and Sociology. About 100 entrants have joined the Workshop "Education Pro". Among the participants were children who are now studying abroad.

From March 10 to March 14, a study visit to Estonia within the Erasmus Project+ Burn-"Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War UKRAINIAN Nation" ("Strengthening of Psychological Stands and War). Participants from five Ukrainian universities and three European universities (University of Tartu, IPU, UL) exchange experience and get acquainted with European approaches to psychological support at universities. From the Kherson State University, the visit is attended by: Tatiana Korniychuk-Head of the Center for Psychological Stability and Well-being (CPSB), Maria Postteket-Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychology, Office Manager of the Project.

On February 18, the Kherson State University took a solemn presentation of diplomas to graduates of the second (master's) higher education. We wish the master's psychologists of good psychological health, stress resistance, self -realization in professional activity.

On 13 January 2025, as part of the Erasmus+ BURN project - ‘Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War Ukrainian Nation’ - representatives of the KSU Department of Psychology together with Ukrainian partners took part in the Winter School. The training is aimed at preparing specialists who will provide psychological support at the Centre for Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing.
