    Student psychology club: a space for reset and inner support

    The Student Psychological Club is a safe, warm and evaluation-free space created for psycho-emotional recovery, deep self-reflection and strengthening of mental immunity. The club started its work on October 9, 2025, continues to be active until today (May 2026) and operates at the Center for Psychological Stability and Well-Being of Kherson State University as part of the BURN (Erasmus+) project - an initiative that supports the university community in conditions of relocation, online education and everyday challenges of wartime.

    On May 5, 2026, a meeting was held for schoolchildren of the Kherson region

    The training "Techniques of stabilization of the psycho-emotional state", which was conducted by candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor Bilous R. and psychology students: Pavlyuchek D., Slobodianyk M., Gladkikh T., Pyrgas Y., Loban N., Shkoda V., The main result of the event was the schoolchildren's mastery of practical tools: the children not only learned to recognize signs of stress, but also practiced exercises for quick calming down, which will be able to use it independently in difficult situations.

    On April 23, 2026, Tyor Larisa Viktorivna (candidate of psychological sciences, assistant professor of the Department of Psychology) took part in the round table on the occasion of Psychologist's Day "Psychologist in the world of changes: challenges, resources, responsibility". During the meeting, the key competencies of a modern psychologist and its compliance with the demands of practice were discussed.

    On April 13, 2026, an open lecture-master class was held for students of the first (bachelor's) and second (master's) levels of higher education of the OP "Psychology": "From theory to practice: how the image helps to work with the inner world of the client, diagnosis and therapy", dedicated to the possibilities of learning using the psychotherapeutic method of symbol drama (catathym-imaginative psychotherapy). Lecturers: Fregan Alla Volodymyrivna (head of the Transcarpathian branch of the IRSHP); Larisa Pavlivna Shumakova (head of the Kherson branch of the IRSHP), psychotherapists using the method of catative-imaginative psychotherapy (symbol drama), teachers of the Institute for the Development of Symbol Drama and Deep Psychology (IRSHP), the International Society of Catative-Imaginative Psychotherapy (MTKIP).

    Industrial practice of graduates of the RVO "Master's" specialty "Psychology" - on both sides of the Atlantic

    The week of face-to-face training from February 16 to 20 fell for the future masters at the stage of industrial practice, where the plan of the psycho-corrective program is developed, its purpose and tasks are determined, and exercises, games and techniques are selected for each class.     The Department of Psychology fully participated in the work of the fifth anniversary Winter School of Professional Development of Kherson State University

    From January 26 to 30, another school of professional development, which included trainings, lectures and workshops, was held at KhSU. Members of the Department of Psychology successfully completed training and received certificates from the course "University Teacher: Branding, Digital Adaptation and Internal Communication in the Context of Social Transformations." A total of 14 activities took place, the speakers of which were both representatives of KSU and invited speakers.

    From December 11 to 30, 2025, the final certification of applicants of the second (master's) level of higher education took place

    During December 15-19, a week of face-to-face training took place on the basis of the KhSU office in Ivano-Frankivsk, and the defense of qualification papers was held by applicants of the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty "Psychology".
    The composition of the attestation commission: Larisa Tyor and Kapitalina Dementieva, secretary of the commission Nataliya Mazurkevich. Special thanks to the head of the commission Lidia Tymkiv. The very question of a colleague from the Carpathian National University to him. Vasyl Stefanyk was given the opportunity to see the strengths and weaknesses of the qualification works.
    In addition to congratulations, the graduates received excellent experience in defending their scientific achievements, advice and recommendations for further work.

    Visit to Estonia within the Erasmus+ Burn project

    From March 10 to March 14, a study visit to Estonia within the Erasmus Project+ Burn-"Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War UKRAINIAN Nation" ("Strengthening of Psychological Stands and War). Participants from five Ukrainian universities and three European universities (University of Tartu, IPU, UL) exchange experience and get acquainted with European approaches to psychological support at universities. From the Kherson State University, the visit is attended by: Tatiana Korniychuk-Head of the Center for Psychological Stability and Well-being (CPSB), Maria Postteket-Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychology, Office Manager of the Project.

    Winter school Erasmus+ BURN project

    On 13 January 2025, as part of the Erasmus+ BURN project - ‘Boosting University Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing in (Post-) War Ukrainian Nation’ - representatives of the KSU Department of Psychology together with Ukrainian partners took part in the Winter School. The training is aimed at preparing specialists who will provide psychological support at the Centre for Psychological Resilience and Wellbeing.
