The Head of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Business of Kherson State University, Professor Valentyna BURAK, took part in the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference "Formation of Modern Concepts of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business Management in the Conditions of the Sustainable Development Paradigm."

The Head of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Business of Kherson State University, Professor Valentyna BURAK, and the lecturer of the department, Alona SOROKINA, took part in the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Problems and Prospects for the Development of the Hospitality Industry and Craft Technologies", dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Semyon Kuznets Kharkiv National Economic University.

Representatives of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Business of Kherson State University – teachers and students – joined the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Trends in the Development of the Hospitality Industry”. The event brought together scientists, practitioners and the student community from different cities of Ukraine and abroad to discuss current challenges and prospects for the development of the hospitality sector.

The parliamentary committee has approved the main rules for the 2026 admission campaign. The NMT model remains unchanged, the DPA is cancelled, and the subject list is confirmed. Special conditions for frontline universities are also preserved. The next step is approval by the Parliament.

On June 18–19, the Department of Economics, Management, and Administration successfully defended the qualification works of applicants for the first (bachelor's) level of higher education in specialties 051 “Economics” and 073 “Management.”

The Department of Economics, Management, and Administration held its annual reporting session for graduate students majoring in Economics (051) from all years of study regarding the fulfillment of their individual plans.

The Faculty of Business and Law at Kherson State University is actively introducing teaching in English in order to develop students' language skills and increase their competitiveness in the international labor market.

Petrenko Viktoriia, Doctor of Economic Sciences and Head of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Business and Law, successfully took part in the pilot project of the mentoring program “Scientific Diaspora for Ukraine”, aimed at supporting Ukrainian researchers and fostering their integration into the international academic community.

As part of the final lesson in the Business Planning course, fourth-year students presented business projects, including both start-ups and plans to expand existing businesses.

Today was truly special for our academic community: we hosted an interuniversity open lecture for students enrolled in the educational programs "Finance, Banking, Insurance, and the Stock Market" and "Accounting and Taxation." Students and faculty from Kherson State University and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University took part in the event — a vibrant and inspiring exchange of generations, experiences, and perspectives from different regions!
