Kherson State University

On April 10, 2025, the 6th Basel Education & Career Exhibition took place in Basel (Switzerland) - a large-scale international educational event that brought together universities, educational institutions, research centers, and career platforms from different European countries.

In April 2025, a delegation from Kherson State University visited the University of Klagenfurt (Austria). During the visit, they discussed the prospects for academic partnership, digital educational innovations, Erasmus+ programs, and joint research initiatives. They also met with Kherson State University students studying in Klagenfurt under the mobility program, and learned about the experience of psychological support for refugees.

Kateryna Radionova, a student of the Faculty of Pedagogy at KhSU, invites everyone interested to an online workshop. Kateryna and her team will share with you their experience of participating in the project, as well as the relevance of inclusion in the modern world. Participation is free, but prior registration for the event is required.

From February 21 to March 3, 2025, an inclusive youth exchange took place in Bant (Netherlands) within the framework of the Erasmus+ program. 48 participants from the Netherlands, Ukraine, Sakartvelo, Palestine, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Tunisia took part in the project. Among them was Kateryna Radionova, a student of the Faculty of Education,

On February 1, 2025, the international internship "Use of modern digital educational technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions" started, in which 10 lecturers of the Pedagogical Faculty of Kherson State University participated.

On January 23, 2025, the 9th Basel Peace Forum was held in Basel, Switzerland, dedicated to the theme “Rethinking Peace – Innovations for the Future”. The event was attended by more than 500 representatives from various fields of education, art, science, politics and civil society from around the world. In particular, Anastasiia Volianiuk, a lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Preschool and Primary Education at Kherson State University, Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy for International Activities, became a participant of the Forum for the second time.

On the occasion of the 107th anniversary of the birthday of Kherson State University, an event was held at the Pedagogical Faculty, dedicated to the discussion of opportunities for international activities (the event was moderated by Assistant Dean for Internationalization Anastasiia Volianiuk).

This event is dedicated to the 107th anniversary of Kherson State University.

As part of a delegation of Ukrainian partner universities, representatives of Kherson State University took part in the best practices training at Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic) from April 22 to 26 under the DigiUni: Digital University — Open Ukrainian Initiative program. The first vice-rector, professor Serhiy Omelchuk, associate professor Natalya Kuzovova, and teacher Anastasiia Volianiuk studied the methodology of developing course content for the digital platform from KhSU.

The teachers of the Faculty of Pedagogy of the KSU, Anastasiia Volianiuk and Yevheniia Morozova took part in one of the largest events of the year - the 3rd International Cooperation Forum of Switzerland (IC Forum 2024), which took place in Basel on April 11 and 12, 2024.

Obtaining majors 013 Primary education Oleksandr Tatsoha, Victoria Fediv and Victoria Morozenko were selected, received a grant and are implementing the project "Energy of the Nation", created within the framework of the UPSHIFT program, the national wave of which is implemented by the NGO "SCC Zadzerkally" with the support of UNICEF and the Japanese government.

On March 26, on the occasion of the birthday celebration of the Faculty of Pedagogy, an open meeting was held with the winners of international internships:
"Academic Mobility: Expectations and Impressions", which was organized by Assistant Dean for International Affairs Anastasia Volianiuk.

International cooperation provides students with enormous opportunities for professional and personal development. A great example is the academic mobility of Kateryna Radionova, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Pedagogy, majoring in "Special Education. Speech Therapy".

Kherson State University systematically creates opportunities for international activities and academic mobility of applicants, and some events become the beginning of long-term cooperation. For example, back in June 2023, students of the Faculty of Pedagogy Karina Tkachenko and Veronika Bevzenko participated in the Summer School for students of pedagogy, defectology, preschool and primary education in Poznań, and today they continue to work in a joint Polish-Ukrainian project at the initiative of representatives of the Faculty of Education of Sciences of Adam Mickiewicz University

On January 25, the Swiss city Basel hosted the annual International Peace Forum (since 2017). Traditionally, the event brings together more than 300 participants from all over the world - political figures, activists, educators, scientists, journalists, representatives of business, civil society and art. According to the plans of the organizers, the cooperation of representatives of various professions inspires innovative thinking, fresh solutions, as well as new partnerships, which strengthens thinking about the need for peace among the general public.

Kateryna Kotrubenko (head of the trade union committee of students and postgraduates of KSU, graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy) took part in the International Summer School at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Republic of Poland).

Foreign partners of the Faculty of Pedagogy congratulated Kherson State University on its 106th birthday: greetings came from Olena Makarova (Director of the Institute of Educational Sciences of the University of Basel, Basel, Switzerland) and Andrea Matais (Chairman of the Antonivka Charitable Foundation, Kassel, Germany) .

On the occasion of the birthday of Kherson State University on November 16, a student round table "Academic Mobility in Action" was held at the Pedagogical Faculty.

Anastasiia Volianiuk, lecturer of the Faculty of Pedagogy and assistant to the dean for international activities, completed an internship at the Pomeranian University under the Erasmus+ program, gave a series of open lectures for Polish students from the author's course "Motivational Management"
