On April 8, 2025, a seminar was held with editors-in-chief and members of the editorial boards of category "A" and "B" scholarly journals of Kherson State University. Assistants to the deans for research were also invited to the seminar.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine invites public discussion of the draft order "On Amendments to the Procedure for Forming the List of Scientific Professional Publications, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated January 15, 2018, No. 32."

The draft act proposes to set out the Procedure for Forming the List of Scientific Professional Publications in a new version.

On March 21, 2025, Kherson State University Kherson State University was included in the 2025 HE Higher Education Ranking, securing the 208th position out of a total of 422 participating universities.

This outstanding achievement reflects our institution's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and innovation.

The HE Higher Education Ranking is a tool that assesses the performance of higher education institutions based on a range of criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs), which take into account specific aspects of university operations.

When selecting KPIs, the ranking takes into account indicators used by UNESCO, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the United Nations (UN) to measure the quality of higher education worldwide, access to sustainable education, and the achievement of fairness and equality in the learning process. Additionally, quality assurance and accreditation are key criteria. Therefore, the ranking includes KPIs related to the Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS), ISO 21001, and other standards.

Moreover, the ranking focuses on the development of universities' digital accessibility, the formulation of their future vision, and contributions toward achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also aims to enhance transparency and academic freedom within higher education institutions.

The ranking provides a comprehensive and accurate reflection of university activities. While it is based on scientific, academic, and research principles and is designed to elevate the academic level of higher education institutions, it also underscores the importance of maintaining universities' connections with society and supporting the cultural and social influence of higher education institutions.

Thus, one of the ranking's indicators is the linguistic impact of universities, emphasizing the necessity for institutions to provide information on their websites in more than one language.

On April 25, 2025, the Faculty of Culture and Arts of Kherson State University is holding the 13th All-Ukrainian (with international participation) scientific and practical conference  "CURRENT PROBLEMS OF ART EDUCATION IN THE HIGHER SCHOOL SYSTEM"

На лютневому засіданні вченої ради Херсонського державного університету заслухали питання про підсумки наукової і науково-технічної діяльності Херсонського державного університету за 2024 рік та пріоритетні завдання на 2025 рік.

Президія НАН України за підсумками конкурсу 2024 р. присудила премії імені видатних учених України, премії НАН України для молодих учених і студентів за кращі наукові роботи, а також відзначила грамотами Президії НАН України молодих учених і студентів закладів вищої освіти.

Серед нагороджених – професор кафедри ботаніки Херсонського державного університету, член-кореспондент НАН України, провідний науковий співробітник Інституту ботаніки ім.М.Г.Холодного НАН України Олександр Ходосовцев. Він разом з доктором біологічних наук Анною Куземко отримав премію імені М.Г.Холодного за серію праць «Синтаксономічне та біотопічне різноманіття лишайникових угруповань України».

Програма І Регіональної студентської конференції 03-04.12.2024 

У Херсонському державному університеті відбулося розширене засідання науково-технічної ради. Модерував захід перший проректор ХДУ Сергій Омельчук.

11 листопада у Херсонському державному університеті відбудеться Всеукраїнська науково-практична конференція «ХЕРСОН 8.10», присвячена II річниці визволення Херсона.

Тематичні напрями конференції:

• повномасштабне вторгнення російських військ 24 лютого 2024 р. на Південь України: історія героїзму;
• на лінії фронту: від оборони – до контрнаступу, підтримка окупованих територій, російський терор;
• фундаментальні трансформації організації життя в період війни та окупації;
• досвід організації життєвих стратегій в окупації;
• морально-психологічний стан перенесення окупації;
• церковно-релігійне і етнокультурне буття на тимчасово окупованих територіях;
• розвиток аграрного сектору в умовах війни та окупації;
• усна історія: рушійна сила документування досвідів війни та окупації;
• геноцид, етноцид, екоцид: фундаментальні виклики сучасності для Півдня України.

7-8 листопада відбудеться Міжнародна науково-практична конференція «Стратегічні пріоритети розвитку економіки, менеджменту, сфери обслуговування та права в умовах інтеграційних процесів». Захід присвячений 107-річчю Херсонського державного університету.

Згідно з рішенням № 02944 Національної ради України з питань телебачення і радіомовлення (протокол від 24.10.2024 №27) одинадцятьом науковим фаховим виданням Херсонського державного університету присвоєно медійні ідентифікатори.

28 жовтня у Херсонському державному університеті відбулося засідання вченої ради, яку розпочали з вручення диплома доктора філософії проректору з цифровізації ХДУ Олександру Лемещуку. 11 вересня він захистив дисертацію «Розробка системи управління процесами якості освіти університету за допомогою сервісів». Дистанційно привітали й наукового керівника - докторафізико-математичних наук, професора кафедри комп'ютерних наук та програмної інженерії ХДУ Михайла Львова, під керівництвом якого ця робота з кейсу перетворилась в масштабоване, функціональне наукове дослідження.

Також разом з проректоркою Дар’єю Мальчиковою вручив дипломи доктора філософії Людмилі Лозовій, яка виконала дисертацію відповідно до освітньо-наукової програми «Географія». Це аспірантка Дар’ї Сергіївни, сьогоднішня подія – свято для обох науковиць.

Перший проректор Херсонського державного університету професор Сергій Омельчук протягом 25-26 жовтня бере участь у наукових заходах на базі Ужгородського національного університету у межах Міжнародної наукової конференції проректорів з наукової роботи університетів України «Євроінтеграція української науки: проблеми та виклики».

Цьогоріч українці писали ювілейний, 25-й Радіодиктант національної єдності, котрий вже не перший рік єднає і спільноту Херсонського державного університету.

23  жовтня на базі Прикарпатського національного університету імені Василя Стефаника відбулася Всеукраїнська науково-практична конференція  «Сучасні проблеми української освіти», присвячена пам’яті професора  Василя Хруща.

23 жовтня у Херсонському державному університеті відбулося засідання науково-технічної ради.

18 жовтня у Херсонському державному університеті відбувся круглий стіл на тему «Відкрита наука та роль бібліотеки в підтримці наукових досліджень». Організатором та ініціатором заходу виступила Наукова бібліотека ХДУ у межах активностей Тижня академічної доброчесності.
